One of the new portraits I have recently made was begun in the Rusty Bicycle pub in Oxford. In their garden space they have small named seating ‘sheds’. One is ‘Shedward Scissorhands’. While waiting in the sunshine for a drink I noticed a guy on the phone in the shade of said shed, and hoped this might make an interesting portrait composition especially as his hands were central to the picture and reflected his concentration on the conversation. It is below using the dark background technique I am working with right now. I am in the process of trying to locate the subject to share a print with him.
