Last of the Damsons
As winter develops the fruits all fall to the ground below, seeking warmth in the undergrowth to await the oncoming Spring. But two withering damsons cling on to the tapering ends of their stalks. Wrinkled and crinkled, what might the New Year bring to encourage them them to drop?
Update: Mid February. The two withered damsons are still hanging on. With temperatures unusually high for, Spring is on its way. How will they fare?
Update: The day after storm Freya. They are still hanging on.
